Congratulations to Vaughn for being one of five outstanding scientists receiving the 2023 David H. Smith Conservation Research Fellowship . Vaughn will use this prestigious award to develop an integrative framework for rapid conservation assessments for insects. Vaughn will join Dr. Laura Melissa Guzman's lab at University of Southern California and continue to work with Dr. Rob Guralnick at University of Florida - Florida Museum of Natural History and Dr. Pedro Cardoso at the Finnish Museum of Natural History - University of Helsinki as well as Dr. Kevin Burls and Scott Black at Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation.
